The MIDI Innovations Awards 2026 announcement, released on 14 July 2026, notes that this is the sixth iteration of the competition, organized jointly by The MIDI Association, NAMM and Music Hackspace. Interested parties have until 1 September 2026 to submit their entries.
Entries may fall into several groups, ranging from commercial hardware and software to prototype hardware and software. Additional recognitions cover artistic or visual projects and the Best MIDI 2.0 product. To be considered, a submission must have been created or significantly revised after 15 July 2025, and both commercial and non‑commercial MIDI products are eligible.
The public voting window is set from 8 September to 22 September 2026, after which winners will be announced at a later date. Full terms and conditions are linked in the original notice for reference.
